How it started.
We were writing a lot. AI was writing even more for us. There was no decent place to put any of it.
Our documents lived in too many places. Half in Google Drive, half on a laptop, a few in old emails. Pasting writing from AI into Word always broke something. Sharing a draft meant emailing a file and hoping the other person could open it.
sweetdocs is the one app we wanted: fast to write in, easy to read, simple to share, and it remembers everything. The speech for your mum's 60th, a marketing draft pasted from ChatGPT, the lease your landlord sent over. Same app, same place.
Next: native apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad are in the works. We'll say more here when they're ready.
Five things we won't do.
A doc app is mostly what it leaves out.
- We won't hold your writing hostage. Every doc exports to portable Markdown. If you ever leave, you take them with you.
- We won't sell you the same product three times. Free, Pro, Teams. No "Plus Premium Pro Max" upsells.
- We won't pester you with emails. Account safety only. Never marketing pings.
- We won't paywall the basics. Saving, sharing and exporting work on the free plan.
- We won't fight the writing AI gave you. If you paste it, it stays the shape it was.
Your data.
What happens to your writing, in plain terms.
- It's yours. Every document exports to Markdown, Word or PDF on every plan, including free.
- It's kept. Every save is versioned. Deleted documents sit in the Recycling Bin for 30 days before they're gone.
- It's private by default. Nothing is shared until you share it, by link or by invite, and you can revoke either.
- It's encrypted in transit. Every connection to sweetdocs is HTTPS.
- Payments stay with the processor. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout; we never see your card.
